Olmstead Point in Yosemite National Park, where a solitary tree stands beside a glacial erratic boulder. This unique geological feature, shaped by ancient glaciers plucking, scraping and polishing as they moved down canyons was probably left stranded as the glaciers melted around it. Sometimes these boulders were left precariously perched. Contrasting textures of the smooth granite and the rugged boulder create an interesting geological scene. The dramatic sky adds depth to the image, enhancing the overall atmosphere. Whether you're an avid photographer or a nature lover, this iconic spot offers inspiration and breathtaking views.
